Pinners
Upon months of trial and error I have finally come up with a pinner that works on the principles of grip and surface area, not pressure.
Using a soft rubber band stretched between two stainless steel legs I have come up with a pinner that is easy to use and is more gentle on the animal but still restraining it better than any other pinner on the market today.
Using this pinner on our own animals, we found it actually worked well for most species of elapids, from sub adult death adders to full grown tiger snakes, browns and taipans. This pinner will come with 2 bands, one suited for larger snakes mentioned above and another for smaller animals like mengdens browns, young adders, along with hatchlings of all larger species etc, thus covering all species of elapids.
Bands are easily removed and changed by unscrewing 4 fixings that clamp it in place, simple and effective. Pinners are made of the same telescopic poles that the hooks are made of so can be adjusted from a length of about 600mm to nearly 1300mm meaning you are able to keep a safe distance while working with unrestrained animals.
For prices please see the Purchasing equipment page. Thankyou
